We have implemented GUV lighting at Pain Relief Clinic, MD for your safety. We will be using the Germicidal Ultraviolet Light, also known as GUV lighting, after hours due to its very potent germicidal effect. It is a remarkably high-tech and effective way to control the spread of Covid-19.

We require all patients to wear mask and only allow 2 patients in our pain management clinic at a time. Currently we ask patients only to enter our clinic. We require that family members wait in their vehicles to help prevent the spread of Covid-19. We understand this is an inconvenience but are confident you will understand.

Germicidal UV (GUV) is an evidence-based, safe, and cost-effective way to protect people from exposure to tuberculosis and other viruses to mitigate the risk of its transmission. It can be highly effective in resource-limited settings and has shown impact across a variety of climates, including extreme cold and extreme hot. GUV has also been referred to as UVGI, which stands for ultraviolet germicidal irradiation. The Centers for Disease Control have acknowledged the effectiveness of GUV lighting against Covid-19. We find the Center for Disease Controls acknowledgement extremely exciting and think it will be the wave of the future. We are honored to bring such safety measures to our patients and employees.
