Pain Relief Clinic, md – Atlanta Back Pain Clinic.
Back pain is one of the most common medical problems, affecting at least 8 out of ten people at some point during their lives. Back pain can range from a dull sensation to a constant ache or a sharp pain. Acute pain comes on suddenly and can last from a few days to a few weeks. Back pain is considered chronic if it lasts more than 3 months. If your back pain is severe or doesn’t improve after three days, you should contact a health care provider. Back pain following an injury should be evaluated by a physician.
What does that term “Back Pain”, really mean? For many people back pain means anywhere below the neck to the lowest part of the back area including the sacrum. You may have back pain that is very localized as in the mid-back between the shoulder blades, lower back around the belt line or diffuse over a large area of the back. Back pain may run from one area to another, as into the arms, legs, hips or buttocks or it may start in the neck and extend into the muscles between the shoulder blades. Lower back pain may be felt in the lower back including the sacroiliac and hip area. You may also have back pain from organ systems that are having problems, such as the prostate for men, and uterine problems in women.
At Pain Relief Clinic, MD we see you the patient as a whole entity as we focus on what is causing your back pain.
