My husband heard the local radio ad for Pain Relief Clinic, MD as he was driving through Atlanta, returning to Indiana from a golf vacation in Myrtle Beach SC. This was in October 2004. Fibromyalgia had overwhelmed my life starting about 10 years before. I had always been high energy and very active. Now, at age 57, fibromyalgia had me so locked in pain that I couldn’t even do the simplest day-to-day activities. My husband had to even help me dress on the days I could stand clothing touching my skin. Most days I sat under a hot shower or soaked in a warm tub bathe for 5 or 6 hours, trying to soothe the sensation that every cell in my body throbbed from pain. The rest of the day was spent sleeping, exhausted from pain and stupefied by pain medications. It wasn’t safe for me to drive—couldn’t turn my head or move.
By Christmas holidays of 2004, I was lying in bed crying and unable to even attend family get-togethers. I hate to say I was suicidal, but I did not want to go on if the rest of my life was that bad.
My husband reminded me of the PRC, MD center. He checked the website and printed out the testimonials for me to read. I was a bit skeptical: my husband said, “It’s worth a try things couldn’t get much worse.” We talked about flying from Indiana to Georgia, but I didn’t think I could stand it. He made a makeshift bed for me in the back of the van, and we were on our way.

The results have been so dramatic that I drove myself form Indiana for this week’s treatments #7,8 & 9 in late February of 2005. I’m once again able to play with and enjoy my grandchildren.
